What steps should I take in case of a traffic accident?

A) In case of a traffic accident involving vehicles:
  • The police must be called; and
  • The European Accident Report needs to be completed.

B) In case of a traffic accident in which no other vehicle was involved:
  • The police must be called;

C) The damage must be reported under the CASCO insurance policy or motor insurance policy to the insurance company that issued it (depending on who is responsible for the traffic accident); 

D) A damage report form needs to be completed at the insurance company;

E) An assessor must estimate the damage; and

F) After the damage assessment report is received, the vehicle should be taken to be repaired at an authorized workshop.
The workshop needs to request from OTP Leasing a vehicle repair order form at fax number 01/6666 792 or at: prijavasteta@otpleasing.hr. After the order form is issued, the repair bills should be put in OTP Leasing’s name.

OTP Leasing will forward the repair bills to the insurance company and claim the amount of the bills. After the claim is paid, the bills will be paid to the workshop.
You as the lessee may request consent for the payment of a claim based on the repair bill or settlement or the insurance company may request it on behalf of the lessee at fax number 01/6666 792 or at: prijavasteta@otpleasing.hr.

To receive consent for the payment of a claim based on the repair bill, the bill must be accompanied by a certificate of bill payment and the damage assessment report.

To receive consent for the payment of a claim based on a settlement, the leased asset must be returned to its original condition (repaired) and photographs of the leased asset and the damage assessment report need to be provided.
To be issued such consent, the lessee must have no outstanding debt.
